Master Trainer Qualified
from an early age I loved exercise through sport and games. Participating in motocross for most of my youth then cricket, basketball, tennis and football, which I developed a great passion for.
Laying the foundation for my success in sport is training. This was almost as enjoyable as playing and provided me with a good fitness and strength base. I looked forward to training and never missed a session.
Coaching football and taking pre-season allowed me to research and develop skills in group training incorporating all elements of fitness.
Participating in team sports, running, bike riding, playing golf, swimming and 'hitting' the gym have continued to be a part of my life and I'm a big believer in both the physical and mental benefits of leading an active lifestyle.
Opening Ignition Fitness in 2008 has really developed my passion for fitness and I love helping people every day in the gym, it's a dream job.
Certificate III Qualified
I have been personal training on and off now (in between kids) for 2 years. I did not have a strong sporting background, growing up I was involved in horse riding (eventing) and dabbled in a bit of weekend netball and social basketball.
5 years ago I discovered weight lifting and I feel as though I am in the best shape of my life.
Since then I have had 2 children. I maintained a healthy lifestyle throughout both pregnancies and have bounced back from both relatively well. Over time my own training style and the way I train my clients has evolved and I believe the key to success is consistency within variety. Be consistent with training, train regularly but always up the ante. You can’t expect change if you won’t change.
I also believe that if I expect my clients to do it, then I should do it too so you will often see me jumping in and training beside clients or turning up and participating in many of the gym classes we have on offer.
Ignition Fitness and has a real community feel and no matter what shape or size you are, you'll fit in.
